Conditions I Treat
Acupuncture offers a gentle, supportive approach to help manage side effects and improve overall wellbeing during and after treatment.
Treatments are gentle and adapted to how you’re feeling on the day.
Support for Cancer Patients
A cancer diagnosis and its treatment can bring a wide range of physical and emotional challenges.
I work alongside your medical care to support you safely and appropriately at every stage.
How Acupuncture Can Help
Acupuncture may help with:
- Fatigue and low energy
- Pain (including joint, nerve, or post-treatment pain)
- Nausea and digestive discomfort
- Hot flushes and night sweats
- Sleep problems
- Anxiety, stress, and emotional wellbeing
- Dry mouth or taste changes
- Peripheral neuropathy (tingling or numbness)
A Calm Space for You
Many patients find that acupuncture also provides:
- Time to relax and switch off
- Support for emotional wellbeing
- A sense of balance and grounding
A Supportive, Individual Approach
Each treatment is tailored to you, taking into account:
- Your diagnosis and treatment plan
- Your current symptoms and energy levels
- Where you are in your recovery
Safety First
Your safety is always the priority.
- I will ask about your diagnosis, medications, and treatment schedule
- Treatment is adapted if you are undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or recovering from surgery
- I avoid techniques that may not be appropriate (e.g. if immunity or blood counts are low)
- I am happy to work alongside your consultant, GP, or specialist team
Working Alongside Your Medical Care
Acupuncture is used as a complementary therapy, not an alternative to medical treatment.
It can be a valuable way to support your body and improve quality of life during a challenging time.
Fertility
Supporting your body and hormones on your journey to pregnancy
Fertility acupuncture offers a natural, personalised approach to support conception — whether you’re trying naturally or preparing for IVF.
Support for Fertility Patients
Fertility acupuncture may support you if you are:
- Trying to conceive naturally
- Preparing for IVF or undergoing fertility treatment
- Experiencing recurrent miscarriage
- Coming off contraception and cycles haven’t returned
- Struggling with irregular cycles or ovulation
- Experiencing stress, anxiety, or burnout related to fertility
How Acupuncture Can Help
Acupuncture works by supporting key systems involved in reproduction:
- Hormonal balance → helps regulate cycles and ovulation
- Blood flow → improves circulation to the uterus and ovaries
- Nervous system → reduces stress and supports implantation
- Immune balance → supports a receptive uterine environment
A Calm Space for You
- Trying to conceive can feel overwhelming. Treatment offers time to slow down, feel supported, and take care of your wellbeing alongside your fertility.

Treatment approach
- Weekly acupuncture sessions (typically 6–12 weeks)

Planning and Timings
Egg development takes around 3 months, so we usually recommend:
- Weekly sessions for at least 6–12 weeks
- Ideally 3 months for optimal results
This allows time to improve the internal environment your eggs develop in. This is all discussed in the Initial Consultation

- GP care
- Fertility clinics
- IVF treatment
- Nutritional therapy
It can be used at any stage of your fertility journey.
