Acupuncture Support for Cancer Patients

A cancer diagnosis and its treatment can bring a wide range of physical and emotional challenges. Acupuncture offers a gentle, supportive approach to help manage side effects and improve overall wellbeing during and after treatment.

I work alongside your medical care to support you safely and appropriately at every stage.

How Acupuncture Can Help

Acupuncture may help with:

  • Fatigue and low energy
  • Pain (including joint, nerve, or post-treatment pain)
  • Nausea and digestive discomfort
  • Hot flushes and night sweats
  • Sleep problems
  • Anxiety, stress, and emotional wellbeing
  • Dry mouth or taste changes
  • Peripheral neuropathy (tingling or numbness)

.A Supportive, Individual Approach

Each treatment is tailored to you, taking into account:

  • Your diagnosis and treatment plan
  • Your current symptoms and energy levels
  • Where you are in your recovery

Treatments are gentle and adapted to how you’re feeling on the day.

Safety First

Your safety is always the priority.

  • I will ask about your diagnosis, medications, and treatment schedule
  • Treatment is adapted if you are undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or recovering from surgery
  • I avoid techniques that may not be appropriate (e.g. if immunity or blood counts are low)
  • I am happy to work alongside your consultant, GP, or specialist team

Working Alongside Your Medical Care

Acupuncture is used as a complementary therapy, not an alternative to medical treatment.

It can be a valuable way to support your body and improve quality of life during a challenging time.

A Calm Space for You

Many patients find that acupuncture also provides:

  • Time to relax and switch off
  • Support for emotional wellbeing
  • A sense of balance and grounding

If You’d Like to Talk

If you’d like to discuss whether acupuncture could support you, you’re very welcome to get in touch. I’m happy to answer any questions before booking.

Acupuncture is used alongside conventional medical care and is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment from your oncology team.
